Smruti Ranjan Mohanty, O.F.S, son of Raj Kishore and Shantilata Mohanty, born at Padmapur, Jagatsinghpur, Odisha on 1.1.1963 is a multilingual poet, essayist and writer. He is a published poet and writer and a featured poet of PENTASI B World Friendship Poetry. His writings include essays, short stories, poems and novels which are published in newspapers and in various national and international magazines, journals and anthologies. Working as Finance Officer in Govt of Odisha, he writes extensively on life, its beauty and intricacies which are widely acclaimed. No more, I remain myself, I have become someone else, yes someone else with which at times I dare to identify. I see you everywhere, in my breath and beats, in my dreams and reality, in what I see and what I don't Believe me! my love, it is you who live in me as a feeling, a beautiful feeling that knows no ending. Why do I feel dejected when I do not see you in my mind's eye Know not how I am connected, why do I feel the pain when your heart aches? Is it love or something else? Know not why I crave something which I never desire. Why do I fancy moving away from reality to the paradise of my dreams though I know it is only for a while? Know not why my heart bleeds, why do tears roll down my cheeks, why do my earth cry in pain, why do my nights become noisy, days so dry when I do not sense you in your ebullient self? I know it is certainly not infatuation, not love the way it is understood It is beyond the body and mind, I do not know what it is, maybe the romance of two souls, hugging each other on a distant isle. White SOMETHING I LOOK AT-208 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY DAY AFTER-4 What matters Are not your material possessions The money you have accumulated The chairs you occupied But the people you have earned Whose moments you shared The people you like And love to be with It is nothing but the bonding That makes life so beautiful And worth living Man lives in relationships Without it, life becomes a burden The biggest tragedy to live with Coming out of a zone Does not mean coming out of a relationship Then why are you so scared? Does leaving the place mean Leaving the people you love?
