Never know when they'll have a good day At any moment the symptoms might show Making it hard for them to plan things And even have a regular schedule They are the most strongest people Who have Known defeat Known struggle known suffering Known loss And they still found there way out of the depth They are strong and determined Brilliant and beautiful They're not defined by diagnosis Because they are warriors When a crisis brings them down They nurse there wounds Dust off their knees And keep on fighting Because they are fighters They have been handed a fight They didn't ask for They fight for their lives everyday They are fighters They find a way to overcome most obstacles They always help and encourage others Even at their lowest They are strong With an agony of mind i say We should all be supporting our fighters Strengthening our survivors Honouring the taken and Standing by our warriors They embody the true definition of courage, Resilience And strength THEY ARE WARRIORS

#SickleCellDisease #feather #poem Never know when they'll have a good day
At any moment the symptoms might show
Making it hard for them to plan things
And even have a regular schedule

They are the most strongest people
Who have Known defeat
Known struggle
known suffering
Known loss
And they still found there way out of the depth

They are strong and determined
Brilliant and beautiful
They're not defined by diagnosis
Because they are warriors

When a crisis brings them down
They nurse there wounds
Dust off their knees
And keep on fighting
Because they are fighters

They have been handed a fight
They didn't ask for
They fight for their lives everyday
They are fighters

They find a way to overcome most obstacles
They always help and encourage others
Even at their lowest
They are strong

With an agony of mind i say
We should all be supporting our fighters
Strengthening our survivors
Honouring the taken and
Standing by our warriors

They embody the true definition of courage,
Resilience
And strength

THEY ARE WARRIORS

From the early stage of their lives Treated as if they don't have rights Roaming about on the streets even at night Longing for love and care Not even from their parents that sent them Crying and screaming to them Not wanting to leave Going to where they are known by none All in the name of seeking knowledge From some half baked scholars Who send them begging for food Searching for sustenance and not fortune Used and abused Neglected and abandoned Deprived from living a normal life They too are children Born not to be sent away Born not to be ditched Without a place to sleep Nor food to eat Not even clothes to wear They too deserve love They have rights To live happily with their parents They have rights To good education Love and care Something they crave for From their parents and the society Not to be defamed and shamed We all should wake up Let's join our hands Together we can change their lives With an aching heart And a loud voice I ask Are the Almajiris our biggest challenge or deepest regret? And are they invisible or just choose to be ignored?

#Isolated #poem From the early stage of their lives
Treated as if they don't have rights
Roaming about on the streets even at night

Longing for love and care
Not even from their parents that sent them
Crying and screaming to them
Not wanting to leave

Going to where they are known by none
All in the name of seeking knowledge
From some half baked scholars
Who send them begging for food
Searching for sustenance and not fortune

Used and abused
Neglected and abandoned
Deprived from living a normal life

They too are children
Born not to be sent away
Born not to be ditched
Without a place to sleep
Nor food to eat
Not even clothes to wear

They too deserve love
They have rights
To live happily with their parents
They have rights
To good education

Love and care
Something they crave for
From their parents and the society
Not to be defamed and shamed

We all should wake up
Let's join our hands
Together we can change their lives

With an aching heart
And a loud voice I ask
Are the Almajiris our biggest challenge or deepest regret?
And are they invisible or just choose to be ignored?
