green-leaves 𝒀𝒐𝒖, who brought the scented candle i | English Poetry

"green-leaves 𝒀𝒐𝒖, who brought the scented candle into this house, A companion having the long lasting light, Making the room fragrant and bright, Spreading your presence with delight, Hugging each corner of the cold with your warmth. Though one day the flames will die and the container lie empty, the room will be filled with your love Which smells like life. It inspired me to reach for my pen and diary. I like to shut the windows and close the door, If it means embracing the quiet with 𝒀𝒐𝒖. ©Anagha Ukaskar"

green-leaves 𝒀𝒐𝒖, who brought the scented candle into this house,
A companion having the long lasting light,
Making the room fragrant and bright,
Spreading your presence with delight,
Hugging each corner of the cold with your warmth.
Though one day the flames will die
and the container lie empty,
the room will be filled with your love
Which smells like life.
It inspired me to reach for my pen and diary.
I like to shut the windows and close the door,
If it means embracing the quiet with 𝒀𝒐𝒖.
