White In the hush of the afternoon's gentle light,
Old friends gather, hearts alight,
A sanctuary where memories bloom,
In the quiet corner of their room.
With cups of tea and cookies sweet,
They reminisce, in voices soft and neat,
Of days gone by, of joys and fears,
Of laughter shared through passing years.
In this haven, where shadows play,
They find comfort in the day's delay,
Where time moves slow, and worries cease,
In the warmth of friendship, love, and peace.
In the dusky evening, golden hue,
With snacks Bengali, delicious and true,
Eighty years young, they sit and feast,
Tales of mischief, laughter released.
Samosas crispy, pakoras deep-fried,
Chai steaming, a joyous tide,
Grandma munches, teeth a-clack,
Grandpa winks, sneaks another snack.
Stories flow like river's bend,
Of youthful pranks and wisdom blend,
In twilight's glow, they find their glee,
Life's feast savored, joyously free.
