Dear Bhagat Singh, More than a century has passed

"Dear Bhagat Singh, More than a century has passed since you came on this land of Bharat Mata , your principles always derived me and many other young Indians. The freedom which we are enjoying today is result of your ideology and sacrifice of your life. I sometimes think that how you were soo fearless even just few hours before your death , what have driven you to that extent that “fansi” even seems a step closer to achieve your goal and yes it ignited “kranti” movement in Indians as a result of which we all started to think of free India. You will always be there with us in form of your ideology inspiring us toward socialism and freedom. I want to tell you that yes we got freedom from britishers but farmers and workers are fighting battles of their own freedom from “Punjivadis“. We are still protesting sometimes against law or even government. I think we have not taken your ideology of freedom in true way. Your sense of freedom was not only from Britishers but from any power driving the weak to weaker and poor to poorer. I hear your beliefs in Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” and socialism where whole world is one place there are no barriers of country, cast and religion. I am sorry to say that we have gone more distant from this thought , even the place you were born is different country. In your words “They may kill me, but they cannot kill my ideas. They can crush my body, but they will not be able to crush my spirit" and your ideas keep inspiring us towards a better world. A very Happy Birthday to you. “Lovers, Lunatics and poets are made of same stuff.” Shaheed Bhagat Singh ©Dhir"
